This is the complete Chapter One of Bone Realm, the webcomic project I've been working on for the past year.
For the first two chapters, I experimented with different styles, trying to figure out the best method of incorporating my detailed, illustrative inking style into a graphic novel format. During Chapter One, I was working mainly with gradients in Photoshop, painstakingly selecting areas and then adding effect fills which looked okay but sort of made me wince at the same time. I was happy with the way my drawing was improving, but there was always some uneasiness with the whole digital process.
Despite the rough edges, Chapter One got along swimmingly with its internet readers, encouraging me to forge ahead into Chapter Two.
